The All-China Youth Federation sent a 500-strong delegation to visit Japan on May 26 and the visit will last for eight days.

The Japanese government invited the youths to take part in a series of communication activities to promote friendship and understanding.

The Embassy of Japan held a farewell banquet for delegation in Beijing on May 25. Yuji Miyamoto, Japanese ambassador to China, and Shigeo Yamada, Japan minister of public relations, press, culture, education and sports, attended the banquet and stressed Japan's enthusiasm for the event.
