An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck off the Pacific island country of Fiji Islands on Wednesday the U.S. Geological Survey said.
There were no reports of damage or casualties so far.
The quake, which occurred at 04:30 p.m. Wednesday Fiji local time (04:30 GMT), was centered 565 km south of the Fiji capital of Suva. It was at a depth of 536 km.
No tsunami alert has been issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii.
