At least eight people were killed in a U.S. drone attack launched late Friday night in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of North Waziristan, reported local Urdu TV channel Ary.
According to the report, the U.S. drones fired three missiles, two of which were targeting at a house located in the Char Khel area of North Waziristan which borders Afghanistan.
Further details about the strike are not immediately available.
Friday's strike is the fifth of its kind since October. Over the past week or so, the U.S. drones have stepped up their strikes at the hideouts of militants in the country's northwest tribal area, killing at least 41 people including eight German nationals who were believed to be trained at the militant's camp in the deep mountain area for terror attacks abroad.
