"The decision adopted by the AL peace initiative follow-up committee is unanimous," Erekat said, adding "we will not accept neither the partial solution to the settlement issue, nor radical ones."
Foreign ministers of Arab nations decided on Friday evening to support the Palestinians' decision to halt talks with Israel after the latter refused to extend a 10-month moratorium, which expired on Sept. 26, on freezing settlement construction on the Palestinian territories.
The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Fatah party, both led by Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, have decided to suspend the direct peace talks with Israel until the Israeli government freezes settlement construction on the Palestinian territories.
