Two Chilean miners, who were rescued on Wednesday after being trapped underground for 70 days, were allowed to leave hospital on Thursday after doctors declared them "in good condition."
The miners, along with 31 other rescued colleagues, had been transferred from the San Jose mine to a nearby hospital in Copiapo. Doctors expect that more miners will leave hospital on Friday.
The miners, 32 Chileans and one Bolivian, had been trapped since Aug. 5 and were confirmed alive on Aug. 22.
The rescue operation on Wednesday has been hailed across the world as a miracle.
