French Civil Aviation Authorities Saturday suspended all freight flights from Yemen on Saturday following reports of suspicious packages on America-bound flights from Yemen.
After the discovery of suspicious packages on two planes taking off from Yemen and the United States issued international alert, French aviation authorities asked all air carriers to stop cargo flights from Yemen, local media reported.
Two suspicious packages were found Thursday night on cargo planes originated from Yemen and destined for the United States. U. S. president Barack Obama said al-Qaeda network was behind the plot.
The failed plot has triggered security alert across the Atlantic.
Early Saturday, Yemeni intelligence agents detained a woman in Sanaa who was suspected of sending suspicious packages found on the cargo plane.
