The first Vietnam-China People Friendship Festival is going to open in Vietnam's capital city of Hanoi on December 10, said Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Nguyen Phuong Nga at a press briefing?in Hanoi?on Thursday.
The festival is one of the activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties and Vietnam-China Friendship Year 2010, said Nga.
The festival will be co-organized by Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, according to Nga.
More than 150 people from China will come to Vietnam to take part in the festival. Activities including cultural exchanges, art performances, and visits to Vietnam's economic and cultural facilities will be held, said Nga.
The festival is scheduled to end on Dec. 14.
