Peace, friendliness main themes in China-Japan ties

Peace, friendliness and cooperation should always be the main themes of the China-Japan relationship, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has said.
Li Yuanchao, head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks Wednesday when meeting with a delegation of young lawmakers from the Japanese Dietmen's League for Japan-China Friendship.
According to a press release issued Thursday from the Department, Li said China hopes to work with Japan to push forward bilateral strategic and mutually beneficial ties.
Li, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, also spoke highly of the league's role in promoting Sino-Japanese friendship.
Hayashi Yoshimasa, head of the delegation, said the league hopes to maintain its efforts to promote Japan-China relations while deepening contacts with China and advancing friendship and cooperation between the two peoples.
