Seven people were killed in northeastern Nigeria when a police vehicle was attacked, media reports said Thursday.
The reports quoted a military spokesman as saying that the vehicle was "burnt to ashes" in an attack by the Boko Haram group at a bus station in the Dala area of Maiduguri city.
Three policemen and four civilians in the Dala and London Chicken areas of Maiduguri were killed, the Police Public Relations Officer in Borno State Abdullahi Lawal has confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria.
At least six people were killed after suspected sect members attacked two churches in Maiduguri on Dec. 24, also the Christmas Eve.
