The United States is ready to offer all necessary assistance to help Russia investigate the deadly terrorist attack on Moscow's Domodedovo airport on Monday, a Kremlin statement said on Tuesday.
According to the statement released after a phone conversation between U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Obama said that Russia and the United States stand ready for close interaction for the eradication of terrorism, which poses a threat to the entire civilized world.
"The U.S. president expressed readiness to render any necessary assistance to punish those who committed this crime," the statement said.
Obama expressed support for the Russians victims of this terrorist attack, wishing quick recovery to all those injured in that "inhuman terrorist act."
Medvedev thanked Obama and the whole international community for showing solidarity with Russia after the tragedy that killed 35 and injured over 100 others.
