The first charted plane sent by the Chinese government to evacuate its citizens from Libya arrived in Tripoli Friday morning Beijing time, authorities said.

Chinese aviation authorities said the aircraft, an Air China Airbus A330-200, touched down at 8:07 a.m. Beijing time (0007 GMT).
