Three Finnish Red Cross medical workers departed for Tunisia Friday morning, aiming to provide medical care in Libya, Finnish media reported Friday.
The team, an anesthetist and two nurses, was sent there at the request of International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC). They will team up a medical group that includes a Swedish surgeon.
According to Finnish media, the three Finns will head for the Tunisia-Libya border on Saturday after arriving in Tunisia.
If unable to enter Libya, they would help in Tunisian hospitals.
Two ICRC medical teams from Norway and Germany have also been sent to Cairo.
