Pakistan Taliban (TTP) has claimed the responsibility for a blast that killed eight people and injured 12 others in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Bajaur Agency on Saturday morning, reported local Urdu TV channel ARY.
According to the report, the remote-controlled blast took place at about 10:55 a.m. local time inside a tea shop where some anti- Taliban local tribal leaders were having tea together at a market in the town of Tehsil Salarzai in Bajaur Agency.
Seven shops nearby the tea shop were also destroyed, said the report.
Located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area, Bajaur is one of the seven tribal areas in northwest Pakistan, which constantly fall under terrorist attacks as a lot of militants are hiding there.
