Cambodian deputy Prime Minister and defense minister Tea Banh, on Monday morning left Phnom Penh for Beijing, capital of China, for a one-week visit to strengthen and expand relations and cooperation between the two countries.
"The visit is to exchange experience and ideas on defense sector aimed at strengthening and expanding friendly and cooperative ties between Cambodia and China," he told reporters at the Phnom Penh International Airport before his departure.
During the visit, he will hold a bilateral talk with Chinese defense minister Liang Guanglie and also pay courtesy calls on Chinese leaders.
Tea Banh made the last visit to Beijing in September last year.
