U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Indian Minister of External Affairs S.M. Krishna began the second round of India-U.S. strategic dialogue?in New Delhi?on Tuesday.
The talks are expected to focus on terrorism, civil nuclear cooperation and the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan, according to local media reports.
Clinton, who arrived here Monday night, will also call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and meet ruling Congress party president Sonia Gandhi, before leaving for Chennai in southern India to meet local and U.S. businessmen.
Clinton's visit takes place barely a week after the triple bombings in Mumbai that killed 19 people and injured over 130.
During the visit, the two countries are likely to sign pacts on cyber security and civil aviation.
