Gunshots resumed on Wednesday by militants who have occupied an under-construction building near the U.S. embassy in Kabul.
In multiple suicide attacks carried out Tuesday in Kabul, according to the Interior Ministry, 12 people, including five suicide bombers, four police and three civilians, had been killed and 21 others, including eight civilians, sustained injuries.
Security forces have surrounded the militants' position in the under-construction building and have been trying to eliminate them and control the situation.
Meantime, a security official on the condition of anonymity said that four security personnel had been injured. However, he said the security personnel would soon clear the building where militants have taken positions.
