Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal said on Sunday that his country supports whatever the Syrian people desire over possible U.S. strike, Egypt's state TV reported.
"It is time for the international community to do everything it could do to prevent aggression against the Syrian people," he said, however, he added that Saudi Arabia would support a U.S. strike on Syria if the Syrian people did.
"We stand by the will of the Syrian people, as they know best their interests, so whatever they accept, we accept, and whatever they refuse, we refuse," Faisal said at a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Nabil Fahmy.
Faisal made the remarks before attending a meeting of the Arab League foreign ministers over Syria.?
