China on Friday called for Libya to launch an inclusive political transition process as early as possible.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the appeal while responding to a question regarding Muammar Gaddafi's death Thursday after his capture in Sirte by National Transitional Council (NTC) forces.
Jiang said Libya has turned a new page on its history and hopes that Libya can launch an inclusive political transition process as early as possible, safeguard Libyan national solidarity and unity, realize social stability as soon as possible, and start economic reconstruction in order to enable the Libyan people to lead peaceful and happy lives.
