"I feel confused, is the red carpet for a film festival or just a film premiere?" Jiang Wen joked at the premiere of his gangster movie "Let the Bullets Fly." A grand premiere ceremony was held in Beijing on Monday, December 6, 2010.
The star-studded premiere ceremony was attended by celebrities Jiang Wen, Chow Yun-fat, Ge You, Feng Xiaogang, Carina Lau, and Chen Kun. All of them are among the A-list of Chinese directors and actors.
Before the ceremony, movie director Jiang Wen and cast members including Ge You, Carina Lau, Chen Kun, and Liao Fan attended the press conference for the premiere.
At the press conference, Jiang Wen said he created a relaxed environment during the film's shooting; he believes actors play better when they feel relaxed. He also admitted that there is no substitute for the renowned actor Ge You, who has 3 movies opening this New Year's season. In addition, as his last film "The Sun Also Rises" didn't cater to his usual audience, he said he wouldn't care about the box office results of this film and its criticism.
But, according to Mtime.com's earlier interview with Ma Ke, the producer of this film, he said "Let the Bullets Fly" has set a new standard for Chinese commercial movies, which can entertain all levels of moviegoers.
