Chinese equities ended two straight falls on Friday and rose 0.85 percent led by strong gains of heavyweights.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 0.85 percent, or 26.64 points, to end at 3,145.35 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 12,555.12 points, up 1.03 percent, or 128.12 points.
Combined turnover was 244.72 billion yuan (35.99 billion U.S. dollars), down from 258.44 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
