An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale shook on Thursday noon the northwest of Mexico, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The earthquake occurred in the Gulf of California region at 12: 53 p.m. local time (1753 GMT), and its epicenter was located 105 kilometers from Los Mochis in Sinaloa state with a depth of 10 km.
Meanwhile, the Pacific's Tsunami Alert said that there won't be a tsunami, but there will be high waves.
