China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) has informed the local governments that they have to extend the housing purchase restriction policies after the expiry date, the Beijing News reported.
Among the 46 cities that are conducting the policies, 10 cities' policies are to expire on Dec 31, 2011.
Now the real estate market in China is still in the sensitive period and the curb of housing prices among the first tier cities has made effects. The housing prices of 70 cities have shown signs of break points to go down.
An official from the MOHURD said the State Council has given several instructions on the regulation of real estate market with the core requirements of never loosening the control policies. Therefore, in the foreseen future, there is no possibility that the regulation on the real estate market will slacken off.
