The Football Association of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) made public the list of the national football team for the Asian Cup, the official news agency KCNA reported.
According to the KCNA, the chief coach is Jo Tong Sop, 51, who led the DPRK team to win the 4-nation soccer tournament held in Qatar and the 2010 AFC Challenger Cup.
The 23 players include Hong Yong Jo, Ri Myong Guk, Ji Yun Nam, Ri Jun Il, Pak Nam Chol, Kim Yong Jun, Mun In Guk, Ri Kwang Chon, An Yong Hak and Jong Tae Se who took part in the World Cup last year.
According to the report, the Asian Cup will begin in Qatar on Jan. 7. The DPRK team belongs to Group D along with Iran, Iraq and United Arab Emirates.
