The Isle of Wight Festival is a music festival now held at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight in southern England. The original festival was promoted and organized in the late 1960s by the Foulk brothers under the banner of their company Fiery Creations Limited. The 1969 festival attracted huge crowds with the appearances of Bob Dylan, The Who and Free. It has been held annually since being revived in 2002 at Seaclose Park, on the outskirts of Newport, and 2011 sees its 13th year of operation. Since its revival in 2002, many notable artists and bands have topped the bill, including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Muse, Stereophonics, Donovan, Ray Davies, Robert Plant and David Bowie.
