Established in 1768 by George III, the Royal Academy of Arts is an independent, privately funded institution led by eminent artists and architects in London city center. It aimed to promote the creation, enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts through exhibitions, education and debate. With a long history, the academy has made great contributions to the fostering of talents in painting, sculpture and architecture.
