The Little Red Hat incident [2dw.cn] |
A video of Nanshan Police dealing with a dispute between two gay males went viral on the internet. One of the men was wearing a red hat and made a "ridiculous" speech. Later, the man in black clothing said he was fired by his company and the video was forwarded to his small hometown, causing him a lot of trouble. He sued his company, which could be the first case on employment discrimination due to sexual orientation. The leaking of the video infringed the privacy of the parties, but the man demonstrated the real situation for gay people in the workplace.
