A gay man Xiao Zhen (name has been changed) sued Xinyupiaoxiang Clinic for its offer to cure homosexuality through "conversion therapy" before March 15, which is World Consumer Rights Day. It also sued Baidu.com, the largest search engine company in China, for false advertising of "homosexual treatment." Haidian District People's Court ordered the clinic to cover his costs of 3,500 yuan (US$563) and make an open apology. The vulnerable groups who sued the clinic demonstrated the confidence and courage of the gay community. Besides, the government said they won't discriminate against gay people in international society, which is a significant improvement.
