China's stable development offers opportunities to Japan, said the Japanese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday in its annual report on diplomacy.
The Diplomatic Blue Book 2010, submitted by Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada and later approved in a cabinet meeting, also expected the two nations to further substantialize the content of their strategic and mutually beneficial relations.
Against the backdrop of rapid economic growth, China has lifted its status in the international community, said the report.
And China has coordinated with the international community and maintained stable development, which offers opportunities to Japan as well as other countries in the region, it said.
Leaders of the two nations are of one mind that Japan and China need to make concerted efforts to tackle various issues the region and the international community are faced with, it said.
The Japanese foreign minister submits a diplomatic blue book to the cabinet meeting annually, briefing it on the international situation and Japan's diplomacy in the past year as well as its future foreign policies.
