A magnitude-5.1 earthquake hit Nicobar Islands, India region at around 0729 GMT on Friday, said the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter was monitored at 7.493 degrees north latitude and 91.848 degrees east longitude with the depth of 35 km.
An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale just struck the area at around 1807 GMT on Thursday.
