A group of gunmen stormed a party and shot dead 15 people, including children, overnight in the northern Mexican border town of Ciudad Juarez, prosecutors said Saturday.
The attorney general of the state of Chihuahua, where the town is located, confirmed the death toll and said at least eight others were injured.
Local media said the gunmen drove to the party at a residential district at around 23:00 Friday and opened fire on the unsuspecting guests.
The gunmen fled in vehicles and no arrest has been made.
Among the victims were a 15-year-old girl and a 9-year-old child.
Drug-related killings and shootouts have not been rare in the town of Ciudad Juarez in the past.
