Tsunami that devastated the Mentawai Islands in West Sumatra, Indonesia, has killed at least 413 people with 303 others still missing.
Data released Saturday by the Mentawai earthquake and tsunami information services showed 207 people were seriously injured and 142 others lightly wounded.
A total of 517 houses were destroyed by the tsunami, while 204 others had minor damage, according to the data.
A two-meter tsunami triggered by a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the islands off the western coast of Sumatra on Oct. 25 (Monday).
The state-run Antara news agency reported on Saturday that rescuers have not carried out evacuations on two villages, namely Bosua and Mosokut, Sipora Selatan subdistrict, in the western coast of Mentawai.
The two villages were flattened by a towering tsunami and only a small number of villagers could survive the disaster.
Search for missing villagers had just been started by a number volunteers who had found about 27 bodies.
