As many as 135 missing people caused by tsunami in Indonesia were found alive by rescue team, an official told Xinhua in a short message on Saturday.
Sutrisno, vice chairman of the National Agency of Disaster Mitigation (BNPB), said that based on data from the Mentawai earthquake and tsunami information services at the Sikakap Selatan sub-district administration in the Mentawai Islands as of Saturday at 12:00 local time (0500 GMT), the death toll caused by the tsunami after a strong earthquake on Monday were still at 413 while the number of missing people were reduced.
"As many as 163 others are still missing, reduced from 298 in the previous data as 135 of them are already found alive," said Sutrisno.
Previous data also showed that a total of 517 houses were destroyed and carried away by the tsunami, while 204 others had minor damage.
