Low-income housing: 180,000 and 100,000 units

In 2012, Beijing started the construction and acquisition of 180,000 units of low-income housing, and completed construction of 100,000 units to better people's living conditions. In 2013, the city will begin construction of another 160,000 units, and 70,000 will be put into use by the end of the year. By the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015), the city will have 1 million affordable houses for those eligible of preferential policy.
